Teachers from throughout the island showed support for fellow educators of Eight Mile Rock High last Thursday and Friday while they awaited responses from the Ministry of Education.
The Smart Cats of Jack Hayward High showed responsibility as they studied and worked on their own for much of the two days. Special Mention is made of the senior young men who in spite of the relaxed schedule visited the library for special sessions. These young men were on target and sat enraptured or spell bound as Mrs. Beneby and Pastor Rolle related some sobering factual life stories. Certainly Inspector Higgs, Mrs. Laing Guidance Counsellor, Mrs. Carroll Librarian and Bishop Hall are making a difference. Way to go Smart Cats.
Did you hear that Jack Hayward High Basketball Team is tearing up the competition as they 'beat up' on the other High School Basketball teams? I really don't want to call any names but the games have been played at our sister school, St. George's High. I heard the Tabbies and Jags are a little sore at the Wild cats. Well.................. until next week. Have a safe Halloween and get the stuff ready for Guy Fawkes Day.
